This Masterdoc, written by and for trans young people, serves as a hub of lifesaving information, resources, and expertise. Written by the incredible Transilience Youth Advisory Board - eight exceptional trans activists aged 16-25 from across Devon - it is a developing piece of work that includes practical advice, accounts of lived experience, and creative expressions reflecting life as a trans young person today.
Having access to the right information can save lives. Hearing testimonials of other trans people who have lived through what you are living through can save lives. The aim of this document is to make it easier for trans youth to know how to navigate the plethora of challenges they face, to be encouraged to know their rights and how to advocate for themselves, and know that there is a community out there that loves them unconditionally.
This document is alive and constantly developing. We also accept submissions from any member of the UK trans community. If you know of a resource we should link to, have a personal experience or advice you want to share, or have created artwork/poetry you would like to feature, please get in touch. Similarly, if you feel there is a topic missing, please let us know. Our team is majority transmasc, and majority white.
